"If you've been to one of my live set's that I've played at over the last 10 years, then you'll know that my sets are all about the journey, energy, and the emotion. I want to make you feel lost in the music so that when you leave the dance floor, you feel inspired and uplifted" Michael

M.I.C.H.A.E.L found his love for Electronic music at the tender age of 11 years old when Robert Miles - Children hit the radio waves. Artists such as ATB and Paul van Dyk influenced his taste in music at a very early age where, music on the radio became a thing of the past and seeking new music became the norm.

His DJ Journey however only started in 2009 after being inspired by his old friend, Gareth Tomaz, and by seeing Kyau & Albert perform at the Ministry of Sound in London in 2008. His DJ journey began on the airwaves of Digitally Imported Radio by doing guest mixes for the station. After receiving international recognition from the listeners, he then got supported by International DJ and Producer Andy Duguid on his weekly podcast, After Dark Radio.

His breakthrough gig came in 2011 when he was asked to perform at a Halo Cape Town event and since then, he has had the opportunity to perform at the biggest clubs around South Africa including Truth and ESP.

Michael's diverse sound of genres include his most loved and treasured genre of Trance music; as well as Progressive House, Liquid Drum 'n Bass; and the harder yet party driven sounds of EuroDance, Hands-Up, and Happy Hardcore.

His skills and knowledge in DJing can be thanked and owed to International Armada DJ & Producer Ross Palmer, who has DJ experience in playing alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren and David Guetta on the International stage, as he has assisted Michael in taking his DJing skills to the next level.

Michael's latest endeavor is a 2-hour monthly radio show titled "Trance Empyrean" which showcases established and rising talent in the Uplifting, Vocal, Tech, and Hard Trance scene. The show is aired on the first Tuesday of every month on "Digitally Imported Trance", and has featured guest mixes from the likes of Stoneface & Terminal, Jak Aggas, Renegade System, S.H.O.K.K. and many more. As well as the radio show, he has started to expand the platform via events where the true sound of Trance can be showcased to the Mother city, Cape Town.
